My priorities
for Huntsville

My priorities are grounded in the everyday concerns of Huntsville residents and the belief that the decisions we make today will shape this community for years to come. When I think about Huntsville’s future, I think about the family managing rising costs, the senior who wants to stay safe and connected, the business owner watching every dollar, the parent driving to work, school, practice, and appointments, and the residents who want Huntsville to grow without losing what makes it feel like home.

For me, Putting Huntsville First means respecting taxpayers, taking care of our roads, trails, infrastructure, and core services, planning responsibly for healthcare, improving communication, listening to residents, and making decisions that protect what residents have built while preparing for future generations.

These are my commitments to Huntsville.

Responsible Spending & Healthcare Readiness

Every tax dollar comes from someone’s hard work. That should matter every time a decision is made. Responsible spending means setting clear priorities, reducing waste, looking for efficiencies, and making sure residents can see real value from the money they contribute.

One of the biggest examples is Huntsville’s future hospital commitment. When the province is ready to move forward with the new hospital, Huntsville needs to be ready with its local share. We cannot wait until that moment arrives and then scramble to find the money.

Healthcare readiness is not just a financial issue. It is about someone’s parent, spouse, child, neighbour, or friend needing care close to home. Planning ahead now means being ready when that care matters most. Responsible spending means focusing on what residents actually need, reducing waste, planning ahead, and making sure major expenses do not catch the Town off guard.

I believe Huntsville needs a clear, dedicated plan for that commitment, with transparency so residents know where the money is going and how prepared we are.

My focus

My focus is to support a dedicated Huntsville Community Hospital Fund, focused on preparing for the required $10 million local share. That means planning ahead, setting money aside responsibly, and making sure we are not suddenly pulling funds away from roads, trails, infrastructure, or other services residents are already paying for and expecting to see. The action plan also outlines using savings from efficiencies, reduced bottlenecks, and ending duplication at the District level to help build this fund, along with clear milestones so residents can see how prepared Huntsville is.

Better Infrastructure

Roads, trails, sidewalks, parks, facilities, and public spaces are part of everyday life in Huntsville.

Infrastructure is not just roads and budgets. It is everyday life. It is the road you drive to work. The sidewalk a senior depends on. The trail a family walks after dinner. The field where kids practice. The public spaces that help make Huntsville feel connected. Residents deserve roads, trails, parks, sidewalks, facilities, and services they can count on. That means getting back to the basics, maintaining what we already have, and planning for what Huntsville will need as it grows.

My focus

My focus is on practical improvements residents can actually see and feel in their daily lives. Better roads, safer trails, maintained public spaces, reliable facilities, and practical long-term infrastructure planning.

A Stronger Voice at the District Table

Huntsville needs strong representation at the District level.

Huntsville needs to be strongly represented at the District table. As our community grows, we need better communication, fewer roadblocks, less duplication, and more efficient use of tax dollars. When services overlap or decisions move too slowly, residents are the ones who pay for it. I believe Huntsville should be leading important conversations, not reacting after decisions are already made. Putting Huntsville First means standing up for our local priorities, working respectfully with others, and making sure Huntsville’s voice is heard clearly.

Huntsville should not be reacting from the sidelines. We should be leading the conversation.

My focus

Better communication, less duplication, stronger representation, efficient services, and making sure Huntsville’s interests are heard.

Community Safety & Core Services

A safe, well-run community starts with strong core services. Residents need confidence that the basics are being looked after. Fire protection, emergency services, roads, winter maintenance, public safety, infrastructure, and community services are not extras. They are the foundation of daily life in Huntsville.

My focus

As Mayor, my focus will be on making sure the services residents rely on are properly supported, responsibly planned, and ready to meet the needs of a growing community.

Listening to Residents

Good leadership starts with listening.

I want to hear from residents across Huntsville, including people who see things differently than I do. That is how you understand an issue from every angle.

Residents deserve to feel heard before decisions are made, not after. They deserve clear communication, honest conversations, and leadership that takes the time to understand how decisions affect real people.

I may not have every answer, but I am ready to listen, ask questions, look at the facts, and do the work.

Planning for Future Generations

The decisions we make today will shape the Huntsville our children and grandchildren inherit.

That means we need to think beyond the next budget, the next project, or the next headline. We need to ask whether the choices being made today will still make sense years from now.

Planning for future generations means protecting what makes Huntsville feel like home while making room for responsible growth, better services, stronger infrastructure, and real opportunity for the people who want to build their lives here.

This campaign is not about me. It is about protecting what residents have built, respecting the community we love, and planning responsibly for what comes next.

The business owner watching every dollar. I think about the places we hope will still feel like home years from now.

I believe the decisions we make today should respect the people who live here now and protect what future generations will inherit. Huntsville is at a real turning point. The choices we make over the next few years will shape this town for decades, including how we grow, how we spend our money, and what kind of community we leave behind for our children and grandchildren.

For me, it all comes down to one simple standard: put Huntsville first. That means respecting taxpayers and how hard they work for their money, investing in the roads, services, and infrastructure we rely on every day, protecting what makes this community feel like home, and planning responsibly for the people who will call Huntsville home tomorrow.
